Horse Racing Parnerships!

OK...I'll kick this board off. I now run Thoroughbred horse racing partnerships and we're putting together a couple of new groups. If folks are interested, please visit the website (www.grevelisracing.com) or the blog (www.grevelisracing.blogspot.com) to get a feel for what we do. I can't promise you riches, but if you like racing it's a lot of fun to own even a small piece of your own!

1.) We are looking to partner with a few other thoroughbred owners in either private purchasing or claiming a higher level horse with the goal to run in allowance/stakes races across the country. I anticipate purchasing a two or three year old in the neighborhood of $30,000 to $60,000 and would race out of the Richard Sherer barn in Louisiana over the winter as well as the Midwest in the summer. GRS portion of ownership would, of course, be dictated by how much we bring to the table. We are developing a "wish list", if you will, with the goal to get a quality horse at a great price. I would like to have the group of folks participating in this group nailed down in the next two weeks as we are looking to move in the middle of August. Shares in this group are priced from $1500 and up with the final percentage of ownership dictated by the purchase price and number of other partners.

2.) We are still picking up partners for a lower level claiming group that would operate out of the Bernell Rhone barn at Remington/Tampa Bay/Canterbury. We'll be looking at picking up a horse in the $8,000 - $15,000 range with an eye toward finding another horse like Fizzy Pop that we can consistently run above the price we paid for him and pick up a few wins along the way. This group will close when we get to $20,000. There are still some spaces left. Shares in this group begin at $1,000 (5%).
