In Memory

Paul Bradley, Jr

Paul A. Bradley, Jr. “P.J”, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers MA after a sudden and brief illness.  He was 53 years old. Born at the Lynn Hospital in Lynn MA, Paul was raised in Peabody until he moved to Salem in 1996.  He graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial Highschool Vocational program in 1983 with his primary study being carpentry.  He worked for Glen and Sons Construction for 25 years and subsequently purchased the business in 2009 where it became Bradley Construction Co.  He was very proud of his business and took pride in every job he completed whether for a home owner or for a contractor.  He also worked for the City of Peabody as a contractor in the winter months plowing snow. Paul took up skiing as a teenager and spent many weekends and days off during the winter at his favorite mountain resort in Killington VT.  He became a very adept Mogul skier and spent hours on his favorite run, Outer Limits.  He loved the thrill of finding the line and getting to the bottom only to ride the lift back up and do it again.  Over the years, he formed many close friendships there and subsequently met his wife on the mountain. A devout New England Patriots football fan, one of his favorite things to do was kick back and watch his team play the game.  Whether they were winning or losing, Paul stuck with them and watched them become the team they are today.  He was not a fair-weather fan — even in their bad years, he would watch every game. Paul leaves behind his wife, Shelley (Austin) Bradley and his two daughters, Rachel a high school senior and Meghann, a sophomore.  He was also the step father to Andrew L. Perogino of Syracuse NY and his wife, Ashley and their son, Julius.  Ever a proud father, he reveled in his children successes whether it was cheering, lacrosse, track or just riding a bike or playing in the yard.  He made sure that his kids were taken care of no matter what. In addition, he leaves his father, Paul A. Bradley, Sr., brother Daniel Bradley and niece Autumn, sister Christine Harlow, husband Jim and niece Deanna and nephew Jake, sister Renee Witham and her husband Henry and niece Erin along with many Aunts, Uncles and cousins and countless friends and business associates. A Memorial Wake will be held at the Conway, Cahill, Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, MA 01960 on Tuesday, November 20 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s name to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty Street, MA, 01923.
