Stephen Salvo, 50, of Middleton, was pronounced at Beverly Hospital on Saturday, February 7, 2015 after being stricken at his home.

Stephen was born in Winthrop, on April 26, 1964, son of Stefana “Nina” (Mottola) Salvo and the late Vito Salvo. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. In 1993 he made his residence in Middleton.

Stephen was successfully self-employed for most of his life in the food industry on the North Shore. For the past 6 years, he had enjoyed spending time with his sons at Centre Street Pizza in Danvers. As a father he created a home for his three sons and supported them in their athletic, scholastic and professional endeavors. Stephen was an animal lover and on 9/11/13 he lost his faithful Boston Terrier Bella.

In addition to his mother Nina of Peabody, Stephen is survived by his three loving sons, Military Veteran and Peabody Police Officer Corey Salvo of Middleton and his girlfriend Cara McCartin of Danvers, Rockingham County Corrections Officer Christopher Salvo and Connor Salvo both of Middleton; his siblings and their spouses, Peter and Linda Salvo of Danvers, Linda and Fernando Bettencourt, Debbie and Maury Bauer, Stephanie and David Smagala all of Peabody, and David and Laura Salvo of Middleton; his longtime companion, Lisa Parziale of Somerville; many cousins, nieces, nephews, one great nephew and numerous special friends.

Stephen’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 with his dear friend Steve Mullin officiating. In lieu of flowers, Stephen’s family requested that contributions be made in his name to MGH, C/O Cardiology Department, www.massgeneral.org , Boston, MA.
