BEVERLY — Paul E. Lazarides, 46, husband of Virginia L. (Saulnier) Lazarides, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011.

Paul was born in Salem and was the son of Barbara (Tsalpara) Lazarides and the late Charalambos "Harry" Lazarides. He grew up in Peabody and was a graduate of the Peabody Vocational High School. Paul was a member of several local clubs including the Italian Community Club and the Bass Haven Yacht Club. He was a part-owner of the family restaurant "Maria's Pizza" located on Cabot Street in Beverly where he was known as "Pizza Paul." Paul's joy in life was always lending a helping hand to his family, friends and neighbors.

In addition to the love of his life, his wife and his loving and devoted mother, he is survived by his three much-loved children, a son Jeremy Saulnier, serving in the U.S. Marines in Afghanistan; two daughters, Elaina and Brittney Lazarides, both of Beverly; a sister, Sophia Koziski, her husband and lifelong friend, Steven Koziski of Peabody; a niece, Leocadya and a nephew and Godson, Steven Koziski, Jr.; grandmother, Helen Siopis of Peabody; several aunts, uncles and many good friends, including, John Dindia of Beverly.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held at St. Vasilios Church, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody, on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly (North Beverly location), Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the River House, 56 River St., Beverly, MA 01915; or to St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960.
